Hazbin Hotel's Showrunner Is Aware of Your Second Season Bingo Cards — And She Has Good News

The much-anticipated Season 2 of the adult animated musical series Hazbin Hotel debuts on Prime Video this week, and fan speculation has been intense.

Season 1 introduces a large cast of personalities residing in Hell and Heaven, pits them against each other with songs detailing their conflicts, and builds tense rivalries and angsty, affectionate connections that drive fan obsession.

The community's expectations for the new season differ greatly, but certain threads emerge over and over: Will Angel Dust escape his tormentor? Might we learn more about the mysterious "deal" affecting Alastor the Radio Demon? Might certain characters' relationships evolve?

"Naturally, I don't make the show with fan service as the main goal," the showrunner stated earlier this year. "But I feel like me being a devotee of the series means there's a lot of it just naturally. I also am eager for these things, and I hope some of these things to occur, and clearly some of these things are meant to happen in the show!"

She says her big-picture plan is for a five-season run of Hazbin Hotel. Future installments have already been green-lit by the production companies, which finance the series.

That could imply viewers have to be patient for some of the major resolutions — but they could be shocked at how fast the new season moves, and how many of what they're waiting for happens this season.

"I feel like people are going to get a lot out of it," the creator notes. "There are several debut moments. I think we get some really amazing disclosures, some really cool backstories, and even basic elements, [like] I hope this character gets a song. […] We're going to hear additional musical numbers from the characters we didn't get to hear before."

She's certainly aware of the guesses and hopes about the upcoming season — especially in the format of fan bingo cards.

"I've seen a couple people create a prediction grid about the new season," she mentions. "Naturally I can't post it, but I've actually done some of them, and nearly every one of them have almost a bingo. I was like, Oh, if you put this [event] in this spot, it would be a bingo. So that makes me think we do a lot [of what fans are waiting for in this season], because I realized, Oh, there's multiple potential bingos on this card. So that makes me happy."

Hazbin Hotel season 2 premieres on the streaming service on Oct. 29.
